Food colouring facility upgrade for GNT Group amid upturn in market
Food colouring company the GNT Group has expanded its UK facilities in Derby.
The enhanced site enables greater support capacity for its worldwide client base – from the creation of recipes, through to finished products.
According to the company, the 750m2 upgrade includes application and analytical laboratories, development kitchens, as well as increased office space for its employees.
The site's high specification equipment now permits GNT UK to offer further local support across food and drink categories including panning drums for coated confectionery and a wet area dedicated to beverages developments.
The facility’s state-of-the-art accelerated storage equipment assists with shelf life evaluations and the assessment of colour performance. There is also a bespoke Customer Experience Room facility for workshops and projects.
"We are proud to officially open our newly expanded offices and application facilities with our experienced and dedicated team," said Paul Collins, Managing Director of GNT UK.
He added: "We serve not only the UK, but also clients in locations including Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, India and Israel.
"The new premises provide us with greater capacity to handle a wider diversity of projects than ever before, thus serving the growing number of food and beverage manufacturers switching to colouring foods.
"Even though our natural colour solutions are simple and uncomplicated to handle, each product has its own challenges. Our application experts assist during the entire product development process and offer customised solutions, whenever necessary, fulfilling the increasingly specific requirements of our clients."
