Sensient launches certified organic colouring foods
Sensient has added a new range of organic colouring foods to its portfolio of colour solutions.
The concentrates are based on carefully selected edible plant sources from organic production. Originating from traditional foods, such as carrot or beet, they provide a variety of orange and red shades with stability and colouring efficiency for a wide range of applications including confectionery, dairy products, non-alcoholic drinks, or sauces and seasonings.
The presence of bio or organic products in the retail landscape in Europe has consistently been increasing over the past two decades. The organic production logo of the European Union was introduced in July 2010, and – next to other regional bio logos – it can be found on a multitude of products across the region.
Sensient notes that it is committed to consistent colour innovation, and the company will be working with its customers to talk to discuss their individual needs for a colour solution that is bio-certified.
