Highland chocolatier joins alliance of luxury brands
Highland chocolatier Iain Burnett has been invited to join Walpole, an alliance of Britain’s leading luxury brands for his “attention to detail in chocolate making”.
Burnett, who has been dubbed Scotland’s “most awarded chocolatier”, will now join other Walpole members, such as Rolls Royce, Harrods and Jimmy Choo.
Twice, Burnett has won the World Gold at the International Chocolate Awards for his Velvet truffles and has supplied some of Britain’s most luxurious hotels with bespoke chocolates for guests and clients.
Describing the news as a “tremendous honour”, Burnett said: “I greatly value the opportunity to learn from association with such likeminded members, many of whom started as a family business themselves.”
Helen Brocklebank, Walpole CEO, added: “I’m delighted to welcome the Highland Chocolatier as a member of Walpole.
“Walpole represents the finest luxury brands in the British Isles, and Iain’s quest for perfection and his attention to detail in chocolate making from sourcing the finest cream from a single herd of Perthshire Friesians to tracking down rare cocoa from São Tomé, demonstrates a remarkable commitment to the pursuit of excellence.”
