Angus Kennedy gifted 25 acres of Ecuadorian rainforest
On Friday 20th September, Angus Kennedy, renowned author, speaker and chocolate expert editor of Kennedy’s Confection magazine, received an email from the Government of Ecuador stating: “(we) have finally agreed to gift you 25 acres of land in the Ecuadorian rainforest.” The area has been detailed as possessing great beauty with lagoons and a natural water source – perfect for growing cocoa.
This came as quite a strange coincidence to Kennedy as he was in the midst of writing his 9th book (The Book to Change Your Life), stating his long-term goals, one of which was to one day own a cocoa farm. Within a day of writing this, the email was received with the exciting new offer of land. The timing was almost spot on as Kennedy was also keen to sale his car which was taken a while to budge. This was stated as another on-going issue in his book and within 12 hours, the car had been sold.
The author recently stated his enthusiasm for the upcoming potential of his book in his weekly blog, Friday Light, stating: “Because of the book? You tell me. Because of parallel realities? I might have to tell you. Because there is a lot more to learn, more likely. Because – we can all do this? Absolutely. Things are happening. But I am cautious; could be co-incidence. If not, then the best self-help book of all time is being written right now as it’s making things happen that have been on the cards with me for decades. Whatever next?”
Kennedy has also expressed his excitement for hosting this year’s London Chocolate Forum where he will deliver his plans for the new Ecuadorian rainforest and how he would ultimately like to help people within the cocoa farming industry. He added: “Always expect the unexpected! As readers have known for many years, I have been asking people to film and work on their farms for ages and now - I have my own. It’s all a bit strange as I am writing a new book that will change people’s lives and it’s sure changing mine
