IKEA recalls eight chocolate products
Home furnishings superstore IKEA is recalling eight of its chocolate products in the UK.
The first two products – recalled on June 27 – are its Choklad Mork 60% and Choklad Mork 70% bars, which are deemed a risk because the presence of milk and hazelnuts is not mentioned correctly in the ingredients list.
Nearly a month later, a further six products were recalled at the end of July due to the fact that hazelnut and/or almond content is not correctly mentioned in the ingredients. The affected products in this second recall are: Choklad Lingon & Blabar (chocolate with lingon/blueberry flavour), Choklad Ljus Utz (milk chocolate bar), Godis Not Utz (milk chocolate bar with hazelnut), Godis Chokladkrokant (milk chocolate with butterscotch), Godis Chokladran (chocolate filled wafers), and Chokladkrokant Bredbar (chocolate butterscotch spread).
The Food Standards Agency, which reported the news, advises consumers to return the above products to IKEA for a full refund.
