New deal for Mrs Tilly's
Scottish newspaper The Daily Record is reporting that Mrs Tilly’s, a confectioner based in Falkirk, has entered into an agreement with supermarket chain Lidl.
The contract, which will see Mrs Tilly’s products available in Lidl stores in Scotland, is reportedly a six-figure deal. The confectioner will be making new tablet, fudge and macaroon bars exclusively for the supermarket, marking the first occasion in which Mrs Tilly’s has worked on an own label project.
Mrs Tilly’s, a family business formed in the late 1990s, sells traditional Scottish confectionery in a range of bars and flavours. The move comes amidst Lidl’s drive to increase its Scottish offering across stores north of the border, the newspaper states.
