New CEO for Tangerine
Tangerine Confectionery has announced that Anthony Francheterre has been appointed as its new chief executive officer, taking up the role immediately.
After joining United Biscuits (UB) in 1998, Francheterre rose quickly through the ranks, taking charge of brands such as BN and Delichoc as marketing director for the Northern European region, followed by MD roles across France and Northern Europe before he was appointed MD of the European and North American regions. Francheterre’s experience spans more than two decades and also includes time spent at Nestle France.
Steven Joseph, chairman of Tangerine, says: “Anthony Francheterre has an outstanding track record, having developed his career largely at United Biscuits where he held several senior positions across Europe and North America. I am confident that Anthony will be able to lead Tangerine through its next phase of growth and continue the exciting development of the Butterkist popcorn brand.”
Commenting on his new role, Anthony Francheterre notes: “I am thrilled to become chief executive at Tangerine. As the leading independent UK manufacturer of sugar confectionery and branded popcorn, Tangerine has a very rich and proud heritage.
“I am looking forward to working with the executive board and our whole staff to provide a strong platform for the growth of the business and the continued success of Tangerine’s brands.”
Tangerine Confectionery is a manufacturer of private label sugar confectionery in the UK as well as many of the nation’s favourite brands, including Butterkist, Wham, Sherbet Fountain, Dip Dabs and Henry Goode’s soft eating liquorice.
