Multiple Awards for Lick the Spoon
Wiltshire Chocolatier Lick the Spoon has won three prestigious Gold awards and two Silver awards at the Taste of the West 2016 awards.
Of the five winning products, a gold award was given to Lick the Spoon’s Bronde Chocolate Bar, Maple Butter Ganache Chocolate and ‘The Bish’ Caramel and Praline chocolate. Silver awards were given to their Strawberry and Balsamic caramel chocolate and Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Lickable Spoons.
Matthew Short, Lick the Spoon’s director, comments: “It’s fabulous to have five awards for each of the five products entered. It’s always a nail biting time waiting for the results to come out, so now it’s time to celebrate! Our Bronde chocolate bar is our first use of small-scale stone grinders, and the recipe took many weeks to perfect and is a closely guarded secret!
The gold award winning products will now enter a further round of judging later in the year to determine the overall category winner and champion product. Lick the Spoon has previously been named Best of Chocolate overall Category winner at the Taste of the West awards five times – last year being the latest.
The awards are now in their 25th year and are one of the most highly respected in the food and drink industry, highlighting successful and high quality businesses across food and drink production, hospitality and food retail.
