Travel sector joint venture launch for Lindt
Lindt & Sprüngli has formed a promotional partnership with Dufry to launch the new Lindt Swiss Masterpieces Bijoux Collection.
The travel retail sector product features two pralines, which include a Perle de Cuivre, which consists of crunchy cocoa and cookie chunks, enveloped in a fondant, coated with white and dark chocolate and garnished with a copper-coloured pearl.
There is also a Pépites d‘Or almond praline with crisp Amaretti, coated in dark chocolate with golden sprinkles.
According to Lindt, the full Swiss Masterpieces range will be available at airports around the world.
At Zurich airport, the flagship of the LINDT Duty Free business and the home of the LINDT Swiss Master Chocolatiers, there will be an exclusive promotion, offering a personalised pendant for passengers.
The joint initiative follows two launches last year including the launches in 2016, including the Swiss Masterpieces range, and a further partnership with Dufry, for the Heavenly LINDOR and Heavenly Napolitains range featuring the new Stracciatella flavour.
Peter Zehnder, head of the Lindt & Sprüngli global duty free division, said: “Our focus is on premium partnerships and excellent execution at POS. We know that more and more passengers are looking for premium gifts at the airport, so this partnership with Dufry and launch of our award-winning pralines represents the perfect opportunity for LINDT and Dufry to work together again.”
Phillipe Moryl, global category head food, confectionary, souvenirs & toys at Dufry, added: “We are delighted about this exclusive pre-launch that perfectly reflects our strategy to closely collaborate with our brand partners to offer travellers a unique experience in travel retail.”
