GEA appoints new senior executive board member
The Supervisory Board of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft has appointed Martine Snels to GEA’s Executive Board.
Taking up the post from October, she will assume responsibility for company’s regions and countries organisation.
Following her appointment, GEA will be headed by an Executive Board consisting of five members.
Martine Snels ,48, from Belgium, is a graduate agricultural engineer and has successfully held a number of management positions in various multinational companies in the food and agri-sector.
She brings more than 20 years of global business experience while being based in Belgium, Singapore and the Netherlands. In 2012, she joined Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. where she currently serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ingredients and member of the Executive Board.
GEA is now one of the largest suppliers for the food processing industry and a wide range of other industries that generated consolidated revenues
of approximately EUR 4.5 billion in 2016.
The international technology group focuses on process technology and components for sophisticated production processes in various end-user markets.
As the company explained, it now generates around 70 percent of its revenue in the food and beverages sector that enjoys long-term sustainable growth. As of March 31, 2017, the company employed about 17,000 people worldwide.
