Lemon and Elderflower fudge to celebrate Royal Wedding
To celebrate the upcoming Royal Wedding this May, Windsor Fudge Kitchen has created limited edition Lemon & Elderflower whipping cream fudge.
Described as “summer in a slice”, it combines natural, fresh whipping cream, lemon zest and natural elderflower, and has been decorated with edible glitter and chocolate crowns to mark the occasion.
It has been inspired by Claire Ptak’s Lemon & Elderberry wedding cake, which has been chosen by Meghan and Prince Harry for when they tie the knot at St George’s Chapel of Windsor Castle.
The hand-made fudge is made using the traditional technique of “slabbing and loafing”, where warm flourishes of fudge are turned on a marble counter as the fudge cools to ensure that it is creamy and smooth.
Meltingly soft in the centre, and firm on the outside, it can be purchased from Windsor Fudge Kitchen in Thames Street, adjacent to the Royal Wedding venue.
In addition, Fudge Kitchen will be launching a Royal Wedding Collection of themed slab fudge, including slices of Royal Chocolate Fudge Cake, Maple & Walnut, Lemon & Elderflower, as well as the Eton Mess, which will have decorative wedding bells on!
