Godiva Launches Café Concept in New York City
US - Chocolate Brand, Godiva Launches Café Concept in New York City
Godiva, one of the global leaders in premium chocolate, recently announced the launch of its first cafe 560 at Lexington Avenue, in the heart of New York City. This cafe concept is seen as a launching pad for Godiva for expansion into new product avenues beyond chocolate gifting. The new product offerings and the cafe launch are part of Godiva's bigger global growth strategy for the next six years.
Godiva's cafes are currently open in Japan, China, Belgium, and the Middle East. The overall cafe concept has a refreshing design and a new menu that may also be replicated during growth plans in the coming years. Ten more cafes are on the cards in New York State by the end of 2019. The bigger plan is to come up with cafe in 2,000 locations globally out of which over 400 are planned for the Americas.
“Leading the new concept is the menu and what Godiva has seen as the consumer's desire for quality and premium treats. Using Godiva's Belgian roots and innovative food trends as the inspiration, Executive Chef Chocolatier, Thierry Muret, has created a menu of new and delicious items including the Croiffle™, the signature Chocolixir, a decadent cold blended drink, baked items like Belgian liege waffles and chocolate inspired cookies, sandwiches and salads,” the official release says.
